These programs and snippets are presented without warranty. Nothing substitutes for understanding of the problem you are trying to solve and the methods you intend to use.

I came across Scott Dattalo's site, which has a lot of interesting algorithms for the PIC, and theory. Scott recalled the following aphorism:

In theory, there's not much difference between theory and practice; in practice, there is.

And I think is was Willard Gibbs who said,

There is nothing quite so practical as a good theory.
